The House continued its deliberation on the Tobacco Control (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan, 2026 during the 6th Sitting today. Members reviewed and discussed the recommendations submitted by the Social and Cultural Affairs Committee (SCAC).

In view of the additional submissions made by Members, the House directed the Social and Cultural Affairs Committee to revisit certain recommendations in consultation with the concerned Members.

The Bill, along with the Committee’s final recommendations, is scheduled for adoption on 15 June 2026. Tomorrow, the House will deliberate on the review report on Satellite Towns in Bhutan, followed by the Question Hour session with the Hon’ble Minister for Education and Skills Development.
