Hon’ble Tshering, Member of the National Council representing Gasa Dzongkhag, commenced his official constituency visit on 18th August 2025. To date, he has covered all four gewogs, namely Khamtoe, Khamoe, Laya, and Lunana.

During the visit, Hon’ble Tshering engaged with local communities to raise awareness on the functions of the National Council, share resolutions of the 35th Session, and explain key provisions of the Civil Liability Act.

He also took part in the inauguration of the Laya D Road Improvement Project, which will enhance road connectivity between Koina and Taktsemakhang.

As part of his focus on education and youth development, Hon’ble Tshering visited Laya Middle Secondary School and the Lungo Extended Classroom, where he interacted with students, teachers, and school administrators. He also addressed growing concerns over substance abuse, emphasizing the harmful effects of tobacco, drugs, and alcohol on young people, and the long-term implications for society.

The constituency visit is scheduled to conclude on 20th September 2025.
