10 June 2026The Amendment to the Reservation on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, tabled for adoption in the House, failed to secure the required simple majority during the 15th Sitting of the 37th Session.
The amendment received six votes in favour, 14 against, and two abstentions from the 22 members present, and was therefore not passed.
Tomorrow, the House is scheduled to deliberate on the Jabmi (Amendment) Bill of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2026.
