The House adopted the Review Report on the National Pension and Provident Fund, the Review Report on the Satellite Town in Bhutan, the Tobacco Control (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2026, and the Jabmi (Amendment) Bill of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2026 during its 18th Sitting today.

The Review Report on the National Pension and Provident Fund was adopted with 23 votes in favour. Similarly, the Review Report on the Satellite Town in Bhutan was endorsed with 22 votes in favour and one abstention.

The Tobacco Control (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2026 was passed with 21 votes in favour, one vote against, and one abstention. The Jabmi (Amendment) Bill of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2026 was adopted with 22 votes in favour and one abstention.

The respective Committee Chairpersons reported that, as directed by the House, their committees had conducted in-house consultations with Members to review and finalize the recommendations prior to adoption.

In accordance with Article 13(5) of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan, the two Bills will be forwarded to the National Assembly for further consideration. The adopted review reports, together with their recommendations, will be submitted to the Government for necessary action.
